Following a successful test session at
Thruxton, Hitech Racing team boss David Hayle says he is confident of a strong run for his team as the British F3 International Series heads to
Snetterton for the fifth round of the season.
Drivers Walter Grubmuller and Max Chilton have both impressed thus far during their second season in Formula 3, with Grubmuller taking a fourth place finish last time out at Monza and Chilton going one better with a trip to the podium.
Having tested a series of development parts at Thruxton last week during a day of testing at the high-speed Hampshire circuit, the team now heads to Snetterton looking to challenge for honours at a venue where Marko Asmer dominated proceedings last year en-route to the title.
“The series has been extremely close this season,” team principal David Hayle said. “The first four races of 2008 were won by different drivers, and this has enabled everyone to stay in touch with the leaders.
“In testing last week, the first 16 cars were covered by less than a second so every tenth counts. We would expect Snetterton to provide much of the same and we're confident of being able to find the form that should enable us to be back up at the front.”
