Jon Lancaster will hope to build on his podium performance last time out at Pau as the F3 Euroseries heads to the Norisring this weekend for the fourth round of the year.
The ART Grand Prix driver produced a fine display in the rain in France to stand on the podium for the first time since stepping up from the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 Championship and will look to continue the kind of form he produced in that series as his Formula 3 campaign continues on the German street circuit.
“We had a great first season in car racing last year, taking it nice and steady at the start and progressing over the course of the first few races,” he said. “We took the runner-up spot at the third round of the series in Hungary and then went one better at
Donington in the next round.
“I'm certainly hoping we can continue the trend this season as it would be great to get my first win nice and early. I'd really rather not have to wait for my only home race this season which isn't until the end of August at Brands Hatch!
“Seriously though, it's a tough, competitive championship this season which has resulted in five different drivers winning the first six races. That's great as it means the championship is still wide open after three rounds with seven rounds still remaining.”
