The tight Scottish circuit of Knockhill has proved to be a difficult hurdle to climb for many in the British Formula 3 Championship and that was the case for Aussie Will Davison on the weekend.

The Menu Motorsport driver was able to add three more championship points to his 2004 tally though it wasn't the best of weekends for the 21-year-old.

Having qualified 14th and 10th for the two races, Davison was eliminated from the first race in a start line accident, prompting his team to repair his Dallara in time for the day's second race.

After his customary flying start, where he passed all three Carlin Motorsport cars on the opening lap, Davison settled in seventh spot and held it to the chequered flag on a circuit where overtaking is difficult.

“I passed all those guys around the outside on the first lap and stayed seventh,” said Davison. “It was really hard work because we didn't have the car speed and setup to do much better.”
