While team owner Giancarlo Fisichella may still be casting around for a seat next season, the operation bearing his name in various junior categories continues to sign drivers.

British hopeful Ollie Millroy is the latest addition to the roster, the 17-year old having agreed terms with Fisichella Motor Sport International's new FBMW Europe team, having landed one of the highly-coveted BMW Scholarships after impressing judges in an evaluation in October.

The programme will be Millroy's first venture into cars after a successful nine-year karting career, which saw him begin racing competitively on his eighth birthday and subsequently rack up notable results, including winning the British ICA championship in 2006, and rounds of this year's WSK and French Open championships before wrapping up his karting career in June.

Since then, he has been busy preparing for his future, testing both Formula Renault and FBMW single-seaters with a view to contesting one or other in 2008. The FBMW Scholarship cemented the immediate path, and the deal with FMSI - which also has programmes in GP2 and F3000 - will see the teenager racing on the F1 support package at the majority of European grands prix following the merger of the British and German series.

"I am absolutely over the moon to have signed with FMS International who, without doubt, will be the most experienced team on the grid," Millroy said, overlooking the fact that 2008 will also be the team's first year in FBMW.

"My dad and I flew out to the factory in Italy on Wednesday, where I met all of the team and Paolo Coloni. I had an amazing day, which included my seat fitting for testing on Thursday. The test was at Magione, near the factory and we had a very good and productive day, getting to know each other, working together and improving our times every time we went out.
