Tim Sugden will make a return to the
FIA GT Championship for the Spa 24-Hours after being included in the Scuderia Ecosse driver line-up alongside the team's regular drivers.
The team will enter two
Ferrari 430GTs once again with Tim Mullen being joined by Czech duo Tomas Enge and Jarek Janis, while Chris Niarchos and Andrew Kirkaldy will benefit from the experience of Sugden in the second machine.
Sugden, who has a remarkable amount of sportscar credits under his belt, is currently competing in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia following a season racing with JMB Motorsport in the FIA GT Championship last year.
Nonetheless, his return to the championship with the front running Scuderia Ecosse squad give them plenty of confidence ahead of the renowned endurance race, team principal Stewart Roden claiming they have the best driver line-up possible.
“The Spa 24 Hours is a very important event as there are so many points up for grabs. We know we can win it so that is what we are setting out to do. I feel that the driver line-up we have will give us our best possible chance of success.
“We've been working hard, especially with Pirelli, and we're looking forward to getting out there and doing our thing. Before that though we have an important race to run this weekend in Oschersleben. We have to come back from our performance at Monza and we intend to give it everything we've got.”
