Gigawave Motorsport enjoyed a solid start to its FIA GT Championship campaign after setting the pace amongst the GT1 runners during a two-day Aston Martin Racing test at Paul Ricard.

Running alongside the factory Aston Martin squad, the team secured an impressive time of 1min 53secs at Paul Ricard as drivers Philipp Peter and Alan Simonsen had their first chance to work together behind the wheel of the silver DBR9.

“It has been important for the team to understand the aero balance and geometry changes that have been added during the off-season,” team principal Fenton Yeulett said. “We now know we are heading in the right direction and are confident of progressing on the track in our remaining tests.”
