Porsche team reinstated into the results of Italian rounds of the FIA GT Championship after winning appeal into exclusion.

Prospeed Competition has been reinstated into the results of the FIA GT Championship race at Monza after winning an appeal into its exclusion from the event.

Emmanuel Collard and Richard Westbrook had taken victory in the GT2 class aboard the #61 Porsche 997 GT3 RSR but was then excluded from the results after rivals AF Corse claimed there were irregularities with one of the Belgian teams pitstops.

However, having made an appeal to the FIA court of appeal, Prospeed was reinstated into the results and reclaimed the win it took on the road in Italy.

"It is in fact a great relief," team boss Rudi Penders said. "I'm presently busy with matters for Adria and this great news gives us even more energy to ensure that everything is perfectly prepared.

"It also means that we can now finally close this chapter and our first FIA victory is now a reality."
