"I have no words to explain how I am feeling now," an emotional Filippi said, having savoured the moment in the cockpit for a while, "It’s so big I really can’t understand how happy I am. I think I will feel it more tomorrow morning. I knew we had the potential, but this is just incredible."
Given iSport's pre-season form, Glock and Zuber won't have to settle for second and third for long, but accepted the first double podium result for iSport this time around, with the German claiming that his efforts has been hobbled from the start.
"I think we had a pretty good start, but Negrao left me no room at the second turn and we touched," Glock said, "After that, my steering pulled to the right and my suspension was bent. So to finish second is a great result."
"My aim was top five and we reached that in qualifying and the race," Zuber added modestly, "The first two corners were hard but, after that, we were okay. I got a podium so, really, it was perfect."
Senna was equally comfortable in fourth, with di Grassi caught in a similar no man's land in fifth, as Zaugg, Lapierre, Garcia and Chandhok crossed the line almost as one.
