On a personal level, I'm still trying to get my head around the new tyres and getting the most out of them for qualifying, but I'm sure that will fall into place soon enough. The problem with GP2, to a certain extent, is that we only get two sets of new tyres a day in testing, and it would be nice to get three - or even four - some times, because then you can really start learning about them.
Those two days were the only chance I had to be on track in the time between Monaco and Magny-Cours and, while I wouldn’t say I lost momentum, the more time you can have in the car the better. At least, in the next few weeks, we've got quite a few races in quick succession so, hopefully, i can pick up my game from here.
It's always a bonus to finish a race from a track time point of view, and I managed that in the sprint at Magny-Cours. I was a bit unfortunate in the first race, as we were running quite strongly, and I believe we could have had a top ten finish if we hadn’t gone out, but the mirror on the right-hand side of the car broke so I couldn’t see anything on that side. If I couldn’t see someone in my left-hand mirror, I really had no idea where they were, so I had to take a gamble, turn in and see what happened.
Unfortunately, someone came up the inside of me at the hairpin - I think he even admitted afterwards that he had braked a little bit too late - but I turned in on him and that was the end of my race. In the second race, we had to start 20th but managed to come in twelfth, which wasn't too bad. I think we picked up some pace in the race too, so now we just have to sort out qualifying.
Of course, the first race in France was dominated by the iSport incident and, then, Ernesto Viso’s accident. To be honest, I didn’t see any of that but, as I was going down the straight, I saw the safety car boards coming out, and I guess that they didn't.
