Glock, meanwhile, was enjoying a return of a different kind, claiming victory by a handful of seconds after throttling back in the closing laps. Despite his closest rival in the points also being his biggest rival on track, victory and pole trebled the German's advantage in the overall standings, with third-placed Filippi having lost valuable ground after his early exit.
