In race one I didn't achieve what I wanted. It wasn’t looking too bad after the start when I overtook one car, but then I was in a lot of traffic so the team decided to bring me in early to see if we could improve. In the pit-stop we lost 12 seconds because the anti-stall came on unexpectedly, and it was difficult to switch it off so I lost many positions. I came back out into traffic again, and then there was the incident in Mirabeau: I was involved because the circuit was completely full of cars, and I hit Carroll. My front wing was broken, as well as a suspension arm and my brake air inlet, so I had to come back to the box again: they fixed the nose and sent me out again, but very soon I looked over and my brakes were on fire! Obviously there was nothing I could do: I couldn't stop at the next corner so I was out of the race.
It was a shame for sure because I could have finished around sixth or seventh, so I could have been starting in the top four in race two which would have been something great. Instead I had to start in 17th, and I moved up to twelfth by the end but that was the best I could do. It's such a shame because the feeling you get on that circuit is something special, and to drive there at all is something which is not easy to achieve, so I guess I can be happy about that, anyway.
Although I know that things have not gone in the best way for me, I am still very happy with the team because ART is a great team, one of the best in the series. They've won championships, they win races, and they always have good drivers and a good technical department. I think everything is working well, but we just have a bit too many problems. It's just something that is not working at 100 per cent at the moment, and every time there is a different reason why we don't achieve what we want, and what we are able to achieve.
