Team-mate Olivier Pla has fared little better, stirring memories of DPR's slow start to 2005 and leaving David Price's squad as one of four non-scoring outfits, along with Racing Engineering, Durango and DAMS. The French team showed its potential at Imola, with both Ferdinando Monfardini and Franck Perera running quickly, while Carroll is sure to have a hand in turning Racing Engineering's fortunes around after an improved showing in Italy. Durango, however, will be hoping to avoid a repeat of its Imola weekend, where Lucas di Grassi - so impressive in testing - returned two wrecks to the garage and team-mate Sergio Hernandez had to be helped from his car after fainting from dehydration.
It is Arden that currently sits on top of the team standings, the consistent showings of both Lapierre and Ammermuller handing it on 32 points, with Piquet Sports second on the 25 accrued by its lead driver. Trident's strong start means that it is the surprise package in third, on 18, ahead of iSport, reigning champion ART and BCN. Campos, Super Nova and FMS International round out the list, but all could change with another two nail-biting outing this weekend.
