Despite only being a single-race weekend, the GP2 series heads for its biggest event of the year as it supports the Monaco Grand Prix around the streets of the Principality.

For Piccione, meanwhile, the event is definitely the biggest of the year, as the DPR Direxiv driver hails from Monaco and enjoys the backing of none other than Prince Albert. However, along with team-mate Pla, the Monegasque will be hoping for a little more luck than of late. He threw away a points finish while pushing for a podium in Barcelona's feature race, then was taken out on lap one of the feature, while Pla thought he had scored a point in Spain - and secured sprint race pole - only to come in underweight after his engine spat out most of its water.

Then again, team owner David Price may be better off playing the Principality's famous casino......
