The GP2 Series heads into its final third with all still to play for, despite Lewis Hamilton heading to Magny-Cours a fortnight ago with the drivers' title and a Formula One seat apparently in his pocket.

The weather, however, could throw an extra joker into the pack, with forecasters predicting a chance of rain this weekend. The heat wave which has struck at the heart of the European summer - and is commonplace at Hockenheim on German GP weekend - apparently looks set to break at any moment, with rain of varying degrees being predicted. GP2 has yet to have a wet race in 2006, and it will be interesting to see who proves to be the regenmeister should this weekend finally cough up.
