Formula Master series director Mauro Sipsz says he is thrilled by the fact that three drivers involved with the championship will be involved in the forthcoming GP2 Asia Series season.
Inaugural champion Jerome D'Ambrosio will lead the FMaster challenge after agreeing a deal with DAMS while one of his main rivals from the 2007 season, Marcello Puglisi, will compete for Minardi Piquet Sports.
Harald Schlegelmilch, who will join the Formula Master grid this season from the F3 Euroseries, will be the third FMaster driver on the grid as he races for the same Trident Racing squad that will run him during the coming year.
"It's good to see so many of our drivers in GP2 after only one Formula Master season," Sipsz said. "The link between the two series is getting stronger with every step we take, whether it is from a technical point of view with the Formula Master race car, or the cross-over in teams and drivers that has developed.
"Best of luck to D'Ambrosio and Puglisi, both have proven their talent time and time again during their season with us and we wish them all the best in GP2 Asia."
