ART man paces final day of pre-season GP2 Asia test.

Romain Grosjean continued to set the pace as the final day of pre-season testing for the new GP2 Asia series campaign drew to a close in Dubai.

The ART Grand Prix driver, who had led the way on each of the previous three days, headed the times during the morning running with a best time of 1m 21.497s, enabling the Frenchman to edge out iSport International's Bruno Senna and Piquet Sports ace Marco Bonanomi.

Sebastien Buemi broke into the top five with the fourth quickest time followed by Andy Soucek and Luca Filippi. Karun Chandhok, who had been quickest on Tuesday afternoon, was tenth fastest in his repaired car following his off shortly before the end of running yesterday.

There was a distinct case of déjà vu in the afternoon running as Grosjean and Senna once ahead led the way, with Grosjean improving his quickest time down to a 1m 21.482s lap. That came despite an incident towards the end of the session when he made a small mistake at the entrance of the pitlane and suffered minor damage to his car.

Behind second-placed Senna, Formula Master champion Jerome d'Ambrosio was third fastest for the DAMS team ahead of Hiroki Yoshimoto, Soucek and Bonanomi.

The race weekend will now get underway at 8.30 local time on Friday.
