The organisers of the GP2 Asia Series have announced that Samsonite Black Label has joined the championship as sponsor starting from the first round that will take place this weekend in Dubai.
As such, the Samsonite logos will appear on all twenty-six GP2 cars for the entire duration of the series, which will end in mid-April.
"The signing of this new sponsor is proof that the GP2 Asia Series has gained immediate credibility and interest from people around the world," said GP2 organiser, Bruno Michel.
"For the first edition of our championship, we have 26 talented international drivers and 13 very professional teams: the high quality of our grid proves that GP2 Asia Series is already a serious and established Championship that attracts the attention of prestigious sponsors."
