Campos Racing has announced that Briton Ben Hanley will replace Diego Nunes in its line-up for the remainder of the GP2 Asia series, which continues this weekend in Indonesia.

Hanley, who will graduate from the World Series by Renault to contest the 'regular' GP2 series with the Spanish team, has been given his chance after Nunes moved to DPR, allowing Adrian Campos' team to start work early with the driver pairing it will run in the main championship season.

"We are very happy with Nunes, who did nothing to be unworthy of the drive, but the possibility to switch arose and it has been possible to do it," the team boss said. "This way we can start working with the drivers that we will have during the whole season."

Hanley himself said he was looking forward to starting work with his new team although he admitted that missing the opening rounds in Dubai left him at a disadvantage compared to the rest of the field.

"I'm extremely delighted to be taking part in the GP2 Asia series," he said. "It is a real opportunity for me to get to know the team and the competitors, but also to get some experience before the Main Series starts. This weekend will be about familiarising myself with the team and the engineers.

"I will try my best and get the best result possible, but since I'm joining the competition after one round is already gone, we start with a little bit of disadvantage compared to the other drivers. Still, I'm hoping to be competitive."

Nunes meanwhile will replace Andy Soucek in the DPR line-up.
