Bruno Senna has moved up to second in the GP2 Asia standings after a runner-up finish in the sprint race at Sentul.
The Brazilian took second place behind first-time winner Fairuz Fauzy in a challenging race held in wet conditions at the Indonesian venue, leaving him as the closest challenger to
F1 test driver Romain Grosjean heading into the third round of the campaign at Sepang.
Senna thought he had secured pole for the sprint race after finishing the feature race in eighth place, but started second on the grid after race one winner Luca Filippi was excluded from the result.
Due to the conditions, the race started behind the Safety Car and in the limited amount of racing, Senna stayed close to Fauzy, with his only minor scare coming on the penultimate lap when he was forced to run wide to avoid a car that had spun on track and almost lost his position to Vitaly Petrov.
However, with a car set-up not well suited to the conditions, Senna was happy enough with second place.
"We had a set-up for the dry and it rained a lot, so it made things extremely difficult for me," he said. "Fairuz and the guys behind me were faster. Therefore, I'm quite happy with this result.
"We've had a tough two first rounds, but I'm still second in the championship and I have closed the gap to Grosjean a little bit."
