David Price Racing heads to the Dubai Autodrome for this weekend's final GP2 Asia Series rounds buoyed by Diego Nunes' scoring performance in Bahrain, but determined to overcome a second race setback.

The fourth round held mixed fortunes for the team, with Nunes scoring two points in the feature race, whilst team-mate Armaan Ebrahim put in a strong performance to finish 13th place after starting 25th. However, the weekend finished on a disappointing note, with Nunes retiring from the sprint race after an opening lap clash with Karun Chandhok, in which he was not only taken out of the race, but given a ten place grid penalty for Dubai. Ebrahim, meanwhile, stalled on the grid, requiring a push to the pits and ending in a disappointing 16th place finish.

“I'm very frustrated as we head to Dubai,” team boss Price admitted, “Diego's first corner incident with Karun Chandhok was, at the most, just another racing incident but, for the second time in a row, Karun has taken out one of our cars, yet this time he is absolved of the blame and we're sent back ten places on the grid. While I respect the decision of the stewards and took the decision not to appeal, I believe it was a harsh and undeserved penalty, particularly as it is the same driver being the cause of this on two consecutive occasions.

“Nunes performing so well last weekend, with a ninth in qualifying, gave us more confidence for this weekend, but starting from the back half of the grid puts us on the back foot before the cars have even fired up. We will not let this dampen our spirits and will be aiming for a strong finish to our campaign.

“Both Diego and Armaan have developed well in such a short period of time, and they have put in some really strong performances, I just hope that they can have clean, fair racing to finish this season.”
