Briton confirms return to FMSI.

Adam Carroll has admitted that he had no hesitation in agreeing to rejoin Fisichella Motor Sport International for the next two races of the GP2 Series, after the grid undergoes something of a shake-up just one round into the season.

Carroll will rejoin the team he helped take to the top of the podium in a part season in 2007, while previous incumbent Adrian Valles makes the surprise switch to BCN Competicion. The Spaniard will replace the hapless Paolo Nocera, who has decided, in conjunction with the team, to step back from his seat alongside Milos Pavlovic.

Carroll won two races for FMSI in 2007, including one on home soil at Silverstone on just his second weekend with the team, and returns for the next two rounds - in Istanbul and Monaco - looking to add to the five career wins he has taken so far. Starting last season in the DTM touring car series did not appear to pose too many problems for the Briton, who converts this year from Team Ireland's A1GP entry, which he guided to a maiden win in Mexico City.

"This is a fantastic opportunity given to me by the team and I'd like to thank them for that," the 25-year old said of his recall, "It all came out of the blue - the team called me to say they needed a driver and it was a simple decision to say yes.

"You've got to love motor racing! It's going to be brilliant to drive the new car and to be racing in Turkey and Monaco, which are two circuits that I really love, and I'm really looking forward to the whole experience."

Already embroiled in one acrimonious driver swap - following Andy Soucek's replacement by Roldan Rodriguez on the eve of the Barcelona round - FMSI will confirm its driver line-up for the remainder of the 2008 season following the mid-season test at Paul Ricard in June.
