No points, but pace and reliability provide positives.

“We knew it was going to be a tough race as we were starting out from very far back, so we have to look at how far we got," he said, "In the end, we finished in number 13, so we climbed eleven positions. But that's not what counts - what really matters is that we were a few decimal points behind the fastest lap time. That's good news for all the team.”

Though it was not the weekend that the erstwhile championship leaders had Racing Engineering expected - Pantano now shares the drivers' lead while the team has lost its advantage over the pack - there were good things for the boss to take back to base.

"The positive point of the weekend was that, once again, the reliability was perfect," d'Orleans Borbón pointed out, "What is more, as during previous races, both drivers ran competitive times during qualifying and the race. Giorgio's two withdrawals were due to brushes with other cars and, once again, the boys have done a fantastic job. I thank them for having well done during an exceptionally difficult weekend."
