Racing Engineering took a 1-2 on the opening day of the GP2 Series' in-season test at Paul Ricard, with Javier Villa heading veteran Giorgio Pantano on the timesheets.

The test continues on Wednesday, with the drivers running on a different layout that should prove faster and more suitable to the aerodynamic set-ups required for the circuits scheduled for the second half of the season.
