Lola's debut as a Grand-Am Daytona Prototype constructor has been put back after Rolex Series partner Krohn Racing decided that it would not be able to field its new car in the season-opener this weekend.

Ricardo Zonta's accident within hours of the recent Rolex Series group test at Daytona getting underway left one of Krohn's two Lolas too badly damaged to continue and, reduced to just one runner for the remainder of the weekend, the team ran out of time to fully evaluate the new car. As a result, it will revert to the tried-and-tested Rileys that it campaigned last season for the first race of the year.

The Lola will be 'full steam ahead' after the 46th running of the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
