agree with you mario, also I think that a driver may be very talented but only to a certain level..i.e. piquet jnr may have been the mutts nuts coming up through the lower formulae up to GP2 but may not have the extra little bit to cope successfully in F1,look at anthony davidson he's highly rated as a tester but can't cut it in F1 I know he didn't get a top seat but he didn't impress enough to catch anyones eye did he?, I don't know for sure it's just a view and before I get slated I'm NOT anti Piquet Jnr, although I will admit I couldn't stand his dad and his primadonna ways
chu chu I would have thought that winning A race was a great result let alone 4 out of 5 !! so is there any need for the anti-comments about McLaren ?!!
Actually I thought the race was the best so far, the Hamster and Heikki both had a go at hhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm !! overtaking (aaahhhh thats the word I was looking for ) even Glock and Piquet were having a go at it .........put me right someone please, I thought thats what we all wanted
gotta agree with you Demon 1GP, I've spent 30 years in the wheel and tyre game and I don't have a clue as to what they're on about !! I suspect they either mean the method used to clamp!! the wheel centre to the outer rim ( I can see that as a possible problem area...very few wheels,if any, are one piece )or alternatively the tyre bead sealing to the wheel rim ( unlikely.... but it would only cause the tyre to deflate anyway. If it is my first thought I'm surprised that the wheel is lacquered before the build is finished anyway. But excellent news that HK is good to go
nice idea Steve T but an amalgamation between Prodrive /Aguri couldn't work due to the fact that Prodrive wanted to enter with a customer chassis ( not as a constructor )which is where all the problems started
"batter" Fry and when he's had his chips give Dave Richards carte blanche to re-invent Honda just as he wanted to do before they gave him the old heave oh
I've never seen any evidence of him being a very good driver, he's had a lot of accidents, quite a few being of his own making. He should stick to test driving
See Rich ard,it doesn't need any help from me to get 'em going,....... Ron RON ROOOOONNN !!!! someone's nicked me last chocolate digestive was it you ?!!
maybe thats the way the finns do things, Keke walked away when he'd had enough, Mika did the same and I fully expect Kimi to do the same, retire while at the top of their game. There's been plenty of drivers from different nationalilities who should have followed that philosophy ( past and present ).
personally I've never rated AD I think his ambition far exceeds his talent, he seems to spend quite a bit of time having incidents, although granted not all of his making. I do remember as a test driver he was often setting faster times than JB( another driver who flatters to deceive I feel )but being quick in testing and being handy in a race situation are a world apart....an obvious comparison would be Pedro de la rosa, very technical and good at setups but always fell short in a race, actually thinking about it I think Alex Wurz was similar albeit his 1st season at Benetton he was quick but a bit accident-prone I seem to recall
