way to go ram jam 69 charlie ...if my memory serves me correctly I remember in pre-season testing Johnny Herbert was MS's teammate and as soon as he posted faster times MS stopped sharing techno info with JH's side of the pits
if your teammates quicker move over, whether from choice or the phone call, its NOT the same as having it written in your contract that you must be able to pass your teammate even when you are evenly matched......presumably all the anti's on here would be playing a different tune if it was their favourite team !! get real boys and girls and be objective if you're slating the McLaren viewpoint, remember to have the same view/opinion when it's your teams turn...what goes around comes around
MS was in a Benetton in 94-95 and I recall it was common knowledge that they were !! using a form of traction control ( launch control ).FIA found out about it and Bennetton said it was just in the software and couldn't remove it, but they weren't using it, surprise surprise they got away with it, just like there was no penalty when it was found they had tampered with the SEALED fuel rig TO ALLOW MORE FUEL IN AT THE PIT STOPS, did anyone ever see how quick the fuel stops were compared to other teams on the same strategies....
rich ard, I seem to recall when RB signed for Ferrari he was interviewed and asked about being a no 2 just like Irvine and he said no way 'cos he wouldn't have signed on those terms and would only have signed as a joint no 1.....unless of course he was just saying that for the media but in reality was no 2. as you are saying !!
I suspect that LH and FA are falling into the "Mansell syndrome" both are the mutts nuts behind the wheel, but BOTH are guilty of taking their crash helmets off and talking themselves into controversy.. Beware I am not a fanboy of either but I rate both of them very highly (in a racing car)along with several others on the grid
oh yeah right !!! MS would have had no problem with KR 'cos team orders would have played a part....lets face it KR wouldn't have gone there with MS because he'd already seen the treatment Rubens got when he thought he was joining on a level playing field, Ferrari told MS he was out, end of story...I didn't like the man but if he'd lost his motivation after 16 years who can blame him..
Tommo... "The good thing about Schumacher retiring from F1 is he is now racing motorbikes!he says its far more fun and exciting to watch than the boring procession we now get with F1" I wonder why and when it became boring.... duh!! let me think
I thought Silverstone was going to favour the Ferraris, and also what happened to the intermediates that worked sooo well when MS was driving for them !!
anyway Ross Brawn wouldn't go back in the same role 'cos that's why he left in the first place....he wanted Todt's job and they wouldn't give it to him. Oh well!! what goes around comes around. tee hee !!
are they missing Ross Brawn yet do you think ? he didn't do a bad job on the Honda pit wall... in the Ferrari pits it definitely wasn't to save time 'cos a wheel change is quicker than a fuel stop.
