Ferrari was in the same situation last year but they seemed to have bounced back on the last few races of the season. You win some, you lose some. But if it's still going downhill for them by the time they get to Monza, I'd be expecting a press conference regarding a new driver line-up for 2009. Just don't know who's getting the axe though.
Lewis could have taken out Kubica but he chose the bigger threat to the championship. Brilliant, just brilliant! But that idiotic safety car/pit stop rule should really be changed. What's the purpose of opening the pits when the cars have to stop and wait at the exit. That's stupid.
Kimi should be relieved that Monaco is a one-off, no other track like it for the rest of the season. But as a consolation, he did have the biggest yacht among the F1 drivers to party on. I wonder if he still has that Gorilla suit. LOL!
I'm sure all F1 drivers are capable of handling an F1 car on cold tyres but, I guess, what these F1 drivers are concerned about are the collisions that might happen between faster cars and the slower cars on their outlap. Just like what happened when Lewis crashed on Alonso's rear but, maybe, with more carnage.
I think the Italian reporter who wrote the article interviewed one of the janitors at the Ferrari factory who overheard something about the new nose with a hole in it. LOL! The report was not really accurate since it stated that the hole was gonna be where the Bridgestone logo was and there was no explanation on how it works. The reality is that the hole is located way back and it's an outlet, which meant that there's another hole under the nose that serves as the inlet. Much ado about holes.
I think Massa will still be driving for Ferrari on 2009.... as a test driver! LOL! What do you expect from a guy who often lose control of his car even with traction control. ;)
Here goes Mr. Bernie Money again. He removed the US GP and now he wants to remove the OZ GP. F1 is supposed to be a world sport and should have venues in all continents(except Antarctica, of course). Although I'm from Asia, I don't want any more races here after India. Instead I prefer South Africa hosting a GP but, with the costs involved in hosting one and Bernie's GREED, I doubt that will happen.
More rumors and this time from the British press. But I think it would be stupid for Mercedes to get rid of Ron just before the start of the season. It would be a big blow to the morale of the team. Is Mercedes going to make Maclaren into a German team like their archrival BMW?
@Calvin When did Irvine give way to Schumi? Nada, Irvine was too slow that he was always a long way behind Schumi. And how many times did Barrichello give way to Schumi? Twice compared to (at least)4 times Schumi let Barrichello take the win(intentionally or otherwise). And Schumacher did prevail over Alonso on 2001, 2003, and 2004 as oppose to Alonso winning over Schumi on 2005 and 2006. 3 on 2 putting Schumi on top.
@everyone Let's not take seriously everything Mad Max says, 'cause we all know he can't shut his piehole!
Yup, complete switch to street courses and leave the ovals to NASCRAP. That way you'll have more European and Asian viewers. This will also serve as a good training ground for American drivers hoping for a shot at F1. And at least 20 races per season. ;)
