Straight away this shows why Toyota have not been competetive in the F1 circus. All of the top teams change all of this type of equipment for a race, inparticular if the car has had an off and looks to have ridden hard over the outfield. It proves that the designs are right on the edge.
Fernando, whoever is resposible for your tyre stratergy you should put out on the street with a handcart. Your performance at Silverstone was poor because nobody thought it a good idea to go out the back door of the garage and look at the sky. Then leave worn intermediate tyres. Maybe it is yourself or Renault or both that are at fault, but this is 2 races now that you have been passed by your team mate, because your tyres are well passed their "use by date". Wake Up Renault
Ross is wrong. Honda have to prove they are able to build a car that is a world beater. In the last 3 seasons they have gone backwards, with the same driver, unless JB is just riding now and having fun with all the glitter. I have lots of faith in Ross, but can Honda deliver, I think not.
Alonso must use a standard 2 stop strat, and start on soft tyres, with a shortish first stint. Will allow him to be fairly well up on the grid, and run a good solid race. Go Alonso, carry the car again !!!!!
Pat Symonds said that Alonso had gone on an agresive stratagy, meaning light qualifying fuel. Then fuel him heavy, when the car doen't work with a heavy fuel load, and then worst of all, is give him a final 28 laps on heavy fuel and soft tyres. No wonder the car wouldn't go where he wanted it. In Canada the "engineers" gave him a stupid statergy and it didn't work, thats why he complained on ITV.
Renault have got to pull finger, they can't expect Alonso to carry a car for too long. eventually he will get pissed off.
NP drove a brilliant race, with a very different car, on a normal type statergy and it came through.
Bernie is just string the dwang. It would take the Donnington area at least 3 years to set up and infrastucture to cope with the crowds, and the way the poms work actual about 5 years and over budget.
Forget it Bernie, Renault World series had to move, and Silverstone is the only place that can cope.
Who are the guys that turn up at your door and want to tarmac your driveway for you ?? They definately are not "Highway Engineers", I will admit some are the genuine article, but most are fly by night "pikeys". Maybe Martin has had some of these at his door lately and used a direct refference.
Nathan, take your blinkers off, in 2005 Alonso was carrying a car that was not up to scratch, and still won the world championship. In 2007 he was driving the best car on the track and his team polarised and choked, no world championship.
All that Canada showed last year is that the crew of Alonso's car could not be trusted to give him a good car. Tyre pressures and wrong brake pads can do wonders to get you closer to the the barriers.
What has happened to all the Alonso bashers that said Nelsinho was going to show Alonso how to do it. I hope Emerson Fittipaldi is happy with all the coments he made about Kovalinan. Nelsinho has also been in the car a year longer, and did the preliminary testing for the new car. Shame !!!
I do not even watch BTCC any more for the simple fact the stewards turna blind eye to demolition derby racing. When Jason races WTTC he never touches anybody, as he knows if he drives the same as in BTCC they will take his license away. Most of this post has shown I am not the only one with these feelings.
@ RENO SP, 100% on the button, and not even Crash.net can see this. Or is this a bit of controvertial reporing again????
Last year Fisi was driving the results of Fernando's development, this year Fernando is driving Fisi's development, and next year Force India will be a bucket of bolts as well !!!
