You can hardly say its like WSBK Tom - The antics some of their riders get away with is incredible - Checa on Neukirchener was worse than Haslam on Sykes.

If nothing else does that should shut his detractors up a bit. Yes he''s gobby. Sure he grandstands. But underneath that the kid''s got bottle too. He hasn''t got a cat''s chance of doing really well tomorrow. Hope he has wisdom to match his guts and settle for taking points in mid-field rather than going balls out and smacking himself up . He simply can''t be strong enough to ride his usual full-on perforfmance.
Odd really. I'd have thought its way more about technique more than fitness or strength. First few times you ride a MotoXer with a bit of entheusiasm you're pumped as hell. With practice its much less of an issue.
Being far too mean to shell out for Eurosprout I might not see this 'til I can borrow the end of year DVD off someone ;-) But Last year the HMPlant Hondas seemed to have a significant advantage in their launch control. Was that making any odds to the restart & the eventual result?
Its a cunning plan to get all his bad luck out of the way in the first meeting.
He''s tough mind. I wouldn''t have bothered getting up for a few of days if I''d just been swatted by a Gixer like that. He just says his knees hurt. Incredible ..
Last year Kiyo, & I suspect Johnathan Rea too, had a deal with Honda along the lines of 'Do well in BSB & Suzuka and you can go to WSB (or WSS) on a top Honda ride. DO you have any such understanding in place with Honda. And for that matter will you be racing at Suzuka for 'em?
From what we've seen so far, mainly in WSB, the Ducatis have the edge in the corners and the Hondas (and for that matter the Suzukis) only have it in the straights so far. The last two years in BSB has seen a bit of a pattern developing with some tracks, like Snetterton HM Plant Honda tracks and others like Brands Airwaves Ducati ones, mostly reflecting the ratio of straights to turns. Are you expecting pretty much the same sort of pattern to continue? Or is it really simply that somewhere like say Cadwell's a Leon Haslam track whilst maybe Mallory (Brands if Shakey wins Brands) is a Shakey Byrne one?
That the BBC provide terrestrial TV coverage of Moto GP would seem more like a reason to let Eurosprout have it for a cheaper rate, not a more costly one.
To borrow a phrase from the article, looks like there are one or two cretins escaped the pit-lane clubbing.
.... Now there's a series concept for Eurosport ;-)
