This whole Tibet thing is starting to really cheese me off. It's been going on for 50 years and all of a sudden, everybody gives a damn for just long enough to ruin the efforts of the athletes who have trained all their lives for the chance to enter the Olympics. Maybe the athletes should leave politics to the politicians and the politicians (and protestors) should go back top what they were doing about it two moths ago that would be bugger all.
It's like the old boxing saying goes - "Everybody has a plan until they get hit" - I think we've heard everybody's plan over the last couple of weeks so it will be interesting to actually see what comes them
I've paid up for the last couple of years and even though I usually watch the race Sunday on the tele, if it's a good race, I don't mind getting myself a frosty treat, putting my feet up and enjoying it again later during the week on the PC. The only thing that might make me pony up again this year (probably not hi def) is the possibility that the races will move from SpeedTV (in the US at least) to ABC and we'll be stuck with Freddie Spencer's inane commentary. He may have been a great racer but he is without a doubt the most boring commentator I've ever seen. This little effort would be Dorna trying to turn MotoGP into NASCAR ***********
Not that it has anything to do with this subject but the subscription info for the motogp.com website just got posted - 89.99 euros for the high def package(I had the 2007 package). Bit bloody steep I'm thinking (bordering on greedy actually).
