Just remember it's the first practice so it means nought. Had the Yam boys got some testing time under their belt rather than having to suffer the rain a few weeks back the timesheets would look a whole lot different.

If JT does become FIA president i'd be appalled but not at all suprised the same can be said regarding MM's tenure as president...course he should go, it's just looking more and more likely that he'll hang on until the end
Give the lad a chance, you don't become 2 x Japanese champ without having something. he may end up mid-table or just above this year. Next year will tell us what he's about. He should just concentrate on this year as a learning experience and if he gets a few good results all the better.
Technology has always been shared in F1, whether by fair means or foul. If a team comes out with a new aero package all the others look at it and incorporate some of it if they can use it to good effect. Remember those silly wings on either side of the airbox? McLaren using Ferrari's front wheel covers?....there are so many examples it's not worth going through them all. External stuff will always get copied quickly. It is most certainly unfortunate that it's out there a long long time before it was due to be used though! Munro, tongue in cheek or not, there must be something wrong with Ferrari's terms and conditions for employees
Just to add that there's been many reports on this Max issue and at the start there were many many posts saying he had to go. Then as the story went on and on and new subjects have been brought up on here and less people have commented and there's actually been a little support for him from some quarters.
Just wanted to say that Max shouldn't let this fool him...most of us had our say and left at that...the vast majority of us still feel the same way and he should pack his bags and go asap.

I think the racing was quality, i don't think you are going to notice the 1200's so much this year...most of the top heavy ducati finishes have been down to DNF's from riders on 1000's in the first two races. Yesterday was a truer reflection. Next year once they get some proper development is when you are going to see it in my opinion...the bike is at the start of it's dev life and is already highly competitive, i can see them romping it next year...then we've got a load of other twins coming along over the next few years...time will tell though.

Very suprised by the Yam's tbh, i've been emailing Nori's manager Toshi and he felt they'd identified and ironed out the problems from the previous two rounds, would seem not though, maybe the tyres still not right for the bike, be sad not to see them up front challenging. Plenty of time before the race to iron this stuff out though. Nice to see Max N and Yukio up there, especially yuki-san given his non-stop bad luck re: crashing and hurting. Suprised that Biaggi is that far back even with an injury....guess i compare more injuries to how Bayliss would deal with them...not fair on the other guys cos he's near enough superman lol. Brands might snow so might watch this at home instead!
