Neutralator, your foggy comments have been exposed, you have nothing to back your comment while JB's quote is very firm on the FACT that Rossi tried a TC system on his 990 Honda in 2002 and JB calls that THE FIRST TIME.

so, if you can't post a factual information, stop spreading misinformations.
I quoted JB and Julian Rider, two persons eminently more aware about it all that you(and I) will ever be.

Neutralator, you're an imbecile:

Julian Rider: Back in 2002 when the Repsol team tested Honda's first traction control system at Valencia, JB recalls Rossi getting off the bike and saying "Don't tell anyone, but this isn't fair!"

Next time you open your mouth, get your facts straight.

Neutralator: the first time JB made Rossi try TC, it was at Honda, back in the 990cc days...

Isn' it ironic or what that most Rossi fans complains about TC and electronic devices while it's Honda (Rossi old company) that has been advocating for changes the minute the 75 engineers-san at their technical board realized that a small factory who were already botting their butt in WSBK were becoming increasingly fast and dangerous with their ominous 990cc GP bikes ? DORNA (Rossi great friends) has been eating in the HRC hands since day one and Honda just keep changing the rules when they think it's getting too hot (just like in 250cc...see a pattern somewhere ?). Now, they realized that Stoner and Ducati, once again, are beating them at their own game: GOING FASTER.

I love watching the counter of disagreeing Rossi fans who are so far gone into Vale's addiction that they cannot accept a simple fact: Rossi fell in Valencia and gave Nicky the WC and today Rossi fell and gave Stoner the exact push he needed to be back in the title chase. Rossi IS subject to failure, sometimes.
Rossi fans, I love you but you need to psychologically come to terms with it: the greatest rider of all time he probably is, GOD he ain't.

Vale's psyche isn't above mind games and nervousness...
It was again (Valencia 2006 anyone ?) proved today that Vale can fail important rendez-vous as Assen was of pivotal importance for the WC (Casey second win would have meant he was back as strong as in 2007 and Rossi can't face THAT Stoner)

When Vale flys over the session, it's all down to his superhere like qualities.
When Casey does, it's only a new chip...

Ok, let's summarize all the excuses we've seen since early 2007

1/ ducati speed
2/ baaaad M1 becomes suddenly an old age underdevelopped bike
3/ michelin are terrible
4/ tax problems
5/ TC rules everything on the ducati, even melandri's.
6/ and now we have THE NEW CHIP

Casey might do the same that in Donnington, clean table, and then again he might not.
But if he does win in Assen, you'll see "fear" in the eyes of Vale.
I doubt very much Casey can win the WC in 2008, too many points already lost, but he can seriousmy spoil the party and make a total assault on all the races where Vale and Pedrosa will on the contary be extremely self conscious about every move they make.
Bring It On.

From the tone of his latest statements about the GP8 and GP9, it's pretty obvious Marco wants to find a deal so he doesn't have to ride the Ducati no more this year.
I reckon Canepa will take his seat, or maybe Gibernau, as soon as Marco and Ducati find a way out acceptable for all parties.

Already rolling in the GP9 was the thing to do, and setting up equal or better laps the day it's handed over to the rider(s) is more than a good sign !
I too bet the Gp9 will in fact see racing this year: Ducati and Casey know they lost the 08 championship and concentrate instead on developing a better bike.
I can smell victory ahead

What most of Vale's hardcore fans are trying to mentally block is that Rossi didn't decide to pass Casey just to make a point and 7 laps later decide consequently to give Casey another chance and let him pass "just to see". He was quicker at times, yes, but not enough to feel secure and he surely wasn't the all-mighty all-powerful semi-God like creature some #46 fans think he is

But yeah, Dani showed everyone he's VERY fast and if the new HRC bike effectively brings 10 more km/h and add some more acceleration, this will be the third year Rossi won't be WC.

Well, Ducati has always show they don't care about riders that don't perform: look at Bayliss was thrown out of the 990, or Sete, or Checa...I guess if Marco doesn't do better, Marco and Ducati will just split. Soon.

steve1992 >Rossi had Stoner's number all along. Its Rossi putting on his show again - fooling us with what was a 'great battle'.

yes. right...Vale came from the back of the grid, passed many riders, hopped Casey on lap 9 and stayed 8 laps in front of him, then decided to finally go back to the third place, stayed 7 laps behind him to then pass Stoner on lap 24 (a great braking move btw) and finished second.

sounds to me and to many others like Rossi just couldn't shake Casey: Vale has an IMMENSE ego and he would have just gap Casey if it was possible for him to do so...

>blah blah >do you really think that vale really fighting with stoney?? not in this world! vale just want to give us a good race to watch (...)<

Knowing Vale's ego and his true excellency at riding bikes, why did he then spend so many laps behind a racer that was preventing him to go for DP and fight for the win ? Oh, i'm sure you have a good excuse, just spare us the silly Vale-Is-God tune Rossi is an amazing rider, but he rides the same track the other do and yesterday DP's game was better than his. If Vale could have pass Casey earlier, you betcha he would have done it.

>if your going to be a WC atleast win it with judgement and skill

Because you think the Bridgestone's engineer in pit #46 is only there to bring Rossi drinks and towels ? There has been more than a few trade "secrets" passed on to Vale so he could make the right tyres choice too. I guess you think Burgess is equally a non player? Vale is an amazing rider but he's coming with a great team too and plays the game like the other riders: they all have their ears and eyes wide open when needed...
