Morgue: Rossi already said in an interview that he'd like to keep the wall, because he thinks that it is a better way of working. And asked about it Puig also already said that the wall will stay there. Seems as if same tyres for everybody don't change a thing in that regard. On the contrary, some other teams apparently also said that a wall might be helpful and a successful concept. Who knows.
it is clear why aspar wants a spaniard on the bike, because the main sponsor is spanish and therefore wants a spanish rider for marketing purposes. it is not really about the best choice anymore, but about the nationality of the rider. it doesn't matter if "motogp needs no more spaniards" (which is a ridiculous statement in the first place), it's a money choice, so we can complain as much as we want, it will happen anyway.
i think it's unlikely that nakano will get the third kawa. just from a sponsor's perspective it wouldn't make sense right now. aspar is almost certain to get the third bike, because he brings the money. and that money comes from a spanish sponsor who will want a spanish rider on the bike to have better marketing options. that's why aspar spoke with elias and gibernau. with elias apparently out of a possible aspar kawa deal and gibernau on a duke, the options for aspar are limited. i read somewhere that debon might possibly be his choice now. we'll see. but from what aspar always said, the prime goal for the team would be to have a spanish rider because of the sponsors.
excellent ride by bati! and now fourth in the championship. seeing such a dominant win again, i don''t think 38 points are enough to keep him out of the battle for the title...
what the eff do bartholemy's leadership skills or the team's partners have to do with hopper's injury??? for christ's sake, hopper crashed - how does that define leadership skills?
i only hope he recovers soon and @ zac: you're just a ****head. only a moron wishes anybody an injury, especially a serious one like that. get over yourself.
(also @pam: what does dani pedrosa have to do with zac being an ****? i seriously don't understand you people...)
spacelord: yep, he did get a verbal warning after the incident with barbera. and the safety commission spoke about how manoeuvers like that are not allowed anymore, that you can't just change your line on the straight to not let another rider pass you. read here: www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/68071
@brit: the problem is that simoncelli needs to apologize a lot lately. yeah, nice that he does, but it would be better for all if he rode in a way that he wouldn't need to in the first place... and you would think that a warning by the safety commission would make him reflect his riding style a bit more.
i think the risk of riding and maybe injuring himself worse is completely up to lorenzo, because after all it's his body he's destroying and he has to know what he wants to do with that. i would be more worried about other riders in the race though, in case he makes another mistake there while being in a bigger group and when he can't control the bike that he might take out other riders.
absolutely admirable sportsmanship by bautista after the crash. many other riders would have freaked out. but i hope his hunt for the title is not ruined now with such bad luck in the two first races, a 35 point gap to pasini is quite a piece of wood to chop away. but a great race to watch.
and about the toby moody comment: i regularly listen to several different commentators and i can assure you that moody and ryder are definitely one of the best if not the best team out there. toby might have his favs and that is not to every viewer's liking, but nontheless they do an excellent commentary that has not been beaten yet.
it's true, everybody expects him to win the title this year, but i think he handles the pressure well and he is absolutely able to win the championship. bike, team, rider, it's all a very good package.
i just hope he will recover in time for the first gp and maybe even be able to do some more testing. it''s a real bummer that he had this nasty crash today. but overall the day seemed to be quite crash-happy, don''t really like that. almost everybody is having some kind of injury right or recovering from surgery etc. i''d like to see them fight without being only at 70 or 80 percent, that might give us ddans also maybe a better show even.
