Been watching him for awhile, he's a hard worker, and knows how to think through a race. Problem is that I still see him as a big fish in a small pond. I mean, the Yam's are running just off the pace of the suzuki's 4 YEARS AGO. Taking nothing away from Mladin, (10 years younger body with his current ability and he'd be in the top 7 motogp)Ben's only competition, he's no VR DP JL CS etc.. If he (Ben) comes to Motogp, Dorna will have their poster boy, Hayden will be sent to the satellite pasture to wither and grow old, the new American face might get a top 5 in Laguna every other year.
Broken or not you saw how much pain he was in pushing that bike, especially in his right foot...Tip your cap, youre a star Jorge ...and Marty...get off your knees, your blowing it
I too had my name on the bike. I think he gave Kurtis the ride probably because he was real cheap (family discount, anyone?), and he knew his 800's wouldn't be competitive. No one seems to want to extend their hand to KR, or maybe they don't have the budget (or the capability, in Ducati's case) to lease out 2-4 more bikes this year. Maybe, if any factory is particularly sucessful, KR could take the leftovers for '09?
