Ditto Kwaka, busted mine in 85 also highsiding out of the flip-flop at Oran Park, took months to get even remotely better and is still a pain in the **** now. Wish I'd had the surgery option available for sure. He's going to hate missing the Oz GP but the smart thing todo in my book is get ready for next year.

Turn off Yamaha's obviously supreme TC and see how he goes, rubber side up in a big hurry.

Mind you he's still managed to highside the bike several times with all of the electronics so that deserves a bit of a medal!

Ah, my internet is back up, the mice just get a bit tired running around the wheel all of time the and need a snooze here and there.

Yes Grumpy, like most things in Oz our internet is a replica of GB, overpriced and c$$p.

For one of the most urbanised countries in the world that is indeed embarrassing.

It's a pity Mr Stoner moaned about the passing, nothing wrong with it at all, hard but fair. It's just fired up his detractors and masked the fact of how hard he's riding that thing. I don't think I've ever seen someone fold the front and sometimes both ends so many times in a single race and still get away with it, quite remarkable. It's no wonder the other Ducati's are so far off the pace if that's the way you have to manhandle it to get some speed out of it. Let's hope a little maturity will come his way because if those 2 can repeat that stuff in good spirits then it will truly be back to the glory days of the late 80's.

Yes, I wish CV had qualifying on his CV.

Both Hayden and KR Junior had their 15 minutes of fame, right place at the right time championships, poor old Randy must sometimes wonder what he did wrong!

Raw Dawg, your comments about the WSBK are why I consider it second division, I remember Mick Doohan lapping the entire field, was a little different the next year up against Lawson, Rainey, Schwantz.....

I would love to see Spies get a run in MotoGP, a nice red ex Melandri Ducati would be tops.

I don't really know the status of superbike racing around the world at the moment, the AMA is undoubtedly the biggest series and probably the toughest, coverage here in Oz is limited but what I get to see is quite entertaining.

The Australian championship is fiercely fought but all of the good riders bail to Europe ASAP leaving the cupboard rather bare.

The British championship is hampered by running around on goat tracks where a lack of self preservation is a necessary skill, great TV viewing but look how badly BSB riders struggle in other comps.

Superbike->MotoGp is not the ideal graduation path these days, the make up of the pointy end of the MotoGp field highlights the problem.

You need to remove the superbike titles out to get real world titles, playing in second division doesn't count. It's been a long time since a class rider from the AMA played with the big boys, Schwantzy was the last and that was a long time ago now, it's a far cry from the glory days of the 80's.

Indeed, it will be the best publicity possible, will show the completely ignorant masses attending the hours of boredom punctuated by crashes how fast the bikes are.

Sorry Maarten, Assen passed away many years ago now, the latest abuse was just the final nail in the coffin.

RIP.

Please Timbo, pretending to be Australian you are not good at, the reference to rugby matches gives it away, nobody outside the North Shore of Sydney gives a **** about rugby in Oz.

Snigger, good point Who Cares!

That said it was still completely boring, watching the 3 lead bikes not even get remotely sideways for the entire race distance reeks of Formula 1. I'm an old fart who dreams of power sliding exits, speedway entries etc.

I don't pay to go to a sporting event to get my entertainment from the also rans in 10th place, I want to see the best in the world strutting their stuff, it's been so completely neutered at the moment it's not funny.

P.S. I'm a crap typist and a few beers doesn't help!

Mr Bösmans, I have no problems with English as a second language speakers making mistakes, generally speaking their level of grammar is superior to the appalling level of degeneration that native English speakers, especially the British have suffered over the past 20 years.

As an Australian who lived in a Swiss-German (mundart )only area of Switzerland I know how hard it is to communicate in a foreign language, especially when you where old when you had to learn it.

Enjoy the season but if the level of entertainment fails to arise above that of last night paint drying and grass growing are beginning to look attractive.

Mick.

And the race was so boring I went to bed, if I'd known the children had to shake hands in front of the King I'd have stayed awake a bit longer for that one. Bummer!
