sat watching Le Mans and he was the slowest driver of all the top LMP cars....not exactly a "come and get me" call.....but then again he'd be brilliant for entertainments sake...I'd pay to see what JV would do to Hamilton should he try his Bahrain antics on him
you have to love Bernie at times...tells the teams that this is their way out of things...gets a few rumours going about about teams and sponsors going elswhere and hey presto MM gets loads of pressure to get out of Dodge....if you cant vote him out, there is no doubt Bernie will find a way
Hopefully an official announcement will be made soon, just to confirm it! Think its great news, always enjoyed the Melbourne round, the slightly later start doesnt affect me either way, know its better for European audiences and sure its better for viewing figures in Oz...just hope Bernie hasnt asked for more cash to secure the GP
Personalities in F1 - As was said earlier DC is always good for some comment or other as is Webber and Button. The rest we cant really comment on as they are foreign and dont have the sense of humour that would be appreciated by the native English speakers in here...Alonso might be hilarious when he's speaking Spanish, Massa in Portugese, dot speak either so dont know. Kimi for me is hilarious, he is very sharp witted when he wants to be and his "having a ****" remark was pure class. Thing with him is, he, on Mikka's advice is boring to avoid sponsorship duties. Hamilton on the other hand wants to be loved by all but doesnt realise the "Tom Cruise-esque" media approach doesnt work
Not sure about this.....think the amount of Lingerie, Make-Up, Bicardi Breezer and Tampon advertisements might put some of the male audience off the sport...the FIA will also have to have extra policing at any event she attends as seperating Button and D.C from fighting over who is going to be first show her their motorhome might be difficult
Great to see him back on the podium, stayed pretty much clear of trouble all day and deserved to be there at the end of it all, fortunate maybe but thats they way of F1 somtimes....Also noted that a Renault engineer was one of the first to congratulate him as he ran down the pitlane to get to the podium, could the rumour of replacinf Piquet be true????
Somebody mentioned why Nico aint coming in for any flak, I think its because he appeared to have noticed things quicker than Hamilton and was reacting accordingly, whereas if you look at Hamiltons reaction he was barely 2 metres from hitting KR or RK when he tried to avoid something. Nico had practically stopped, hence the comparitively small damage (front wing) in comparison to Hamiltons damage.
found it exceptionally funny..it was a total rush of blood to his head, he was miles infront and then suddenly he's bunched up with a safety car infront, pits and low and behold Kubica and Kimi jump him in the pits..can see why he was rushing to get back on track...thing is why didnt he see them slowing down or coming to a stop or see the red light???? out of the 3 cases he surely should have seen one of them???
Loved Kimi pointing out where the red light was!!!!
Thought Kubica had done the business then...credit to Hamilton he came out with a blinding lap right at the end....shame he had to go and spoil it with that arrogant celebration as he climbed out of the car....
Rosberg looked amazing on that fast lap...hopefully he can keep the momentum going and get a great starting position, hopefully front row!!! Vettels accident wasnt spectacular but did take notice of the way the back right tyre flew off after he made contact with the wall...it came back across the track at a 45 degree angle and hit the fencing on the other side and rolled back down the track...
Superb news!!! Everybody loves SPA and its great to see it getting an extention....now Silverstone - pull out the finger update the infrastructure and secure the British GP!!!
just the first part of the conformation that Britain will be losing its GP....Hill and BRDC knows its going to happen so they are making moves to secure a premier racing formula in its place....
worst about it all is going to be the "victory" speach that he is going to give....then we''ll see him go afer all those that voted against him....the MAD MAX dictatorship roles on!!!
i can not believe he has won this vote....think there could well be some serious noises about a break away F1 series that comes to light in the coming weeks as a result of this...
