once again a non news story regurgitated by crash.net from the sun newspaper and all the hammy haters crawl out from under the woodwork. Arrogance? i see it as confidence in his own ability, which judging by his recent performances is some ability!
if you really dont like they guy then why spend time reading articles about him and posting comments???
yes i did read the article, i also read last weeks article saying that if Renault couldn't provide him with a championship winning car he would look at moving to another team. I stand by my comment above.
agreed, lewis should have put his hand up and admitted he made a mistake.
I do not agree however with the sheer number of people on this forum that are quick to criticise or just "slag off" lewis at every opportunity. He's not the only driver to make a mistake like that and he wont be the last.
I wasnt trying to compare hamiltons accident with alonso at monaco, merely pointing out to rich ard that alonso's accident at monaco was a stupid accident that for a driver of his calibre could have easily been avoided and should not be just classed as a racing incident as he put it.
I have been working in the aircraft/aerospace industry in the uk since leaving school in 91 and doing a 4 year apprenticeship at farnborough. I have witnessed first hand a MASSIVE decline in engineering in the uk in this relatively short time, and like you said, anyone who inspires people to take an interest in engineering deserves all the credit they get! Good on you Ron!
I disagree with this, alonso was being impatient and tried a move that was never going to work at the hairpin. He made an error! he should have known better than that.
I know it was only toward the end of the pitlane but had that been further down where there are mechanics working, then to me that could have serious safety implications. Like you say it doesn't matter now but i wonder had the incident with lewis not happened then would either team have complained and what might have happened when they left the pits side by side?
I agree with you Boo, It was a big error on lewis's behalf, plain and simple! Its not the first time an incident like that has happened and i dare say it wont be the last.
On another note, what is anyones view of 2 cars driving side by side in the pitlane? Surely there are saftey implications in that too?
I''m not taking any sides here but if massa didnt see the red light last year and hamilton didnt see it this year then does that raise the issue of weather the lights need to be repositioned maybe?
