@2 years

I think Dovi will probably be beating #2 regularly next year, but they'll still treat little #2 as the golden boy simply because he's Spanish. Hayden won the title, and look what kind of treatment that earned him from Repsol

well, look at the bright side. At least in your countries, MotoGP won't have to compete with NASCAR!

according to Julian Ryder Ben doesn't want to ride. He already missed out on two practices at a track he doesn't know, plus it's supposed to rain on race day. I think he's worried about injuring himself. Plus there's an upcoming test at Indianapolis?

Personally I would like to see him ride, what has he got to lose? Clearly no one's going to be that surprised if he doesn't do well, so he might as well get the experience

Why does HRC keep sandbagging on this engine? Nicky's faster with it and he likes the feel more, what more reason do they need?

Yet another example of how Nicky gets the short end of the stick

clearly he doesn't *need* it to win.. but doesn't he deserve it at this point? he's the #1 Suzuki with the #3 hardware. unless for some reason he likes the 07 bike more

Smart move by Suzuki.

Did they finally give him 08 hardware, or is he still on last year's bike?

Actually, the twins are given less tuning capability than the fours.

If there really is such an advantage for the twins, they will get the penalty sooner or later. Also, let's not forget that the CBR1000RR came late and didn't get the normal development it should have. Or that Yamaha is having an oddly poor showing so far (can't even top their performance from last year). And if Biaggi had stayed with Suzuki, he could very well be leading the championship.

Also, one has to question why Aprilia and BMW are choosing to take a whack at WSBK with fours instead of twins, when historically both have a long history of making twins

Uh oh, looks like everyone's figured out Ducati's inside game. The secret is out! Yes, there's a dial inside Bayliss's bike labeled "performance", that they finally cranked up when it came to qualifying. The other Ducati's don't have this, instead they have a gizmo to cut power to the engine when they come within range of Bayliss's bike.

Because it's not like Bayliss has a good record here. Or that his top speed is 8km/h slower than the 4's. Or that the next Ducati is in 5th. Yeah, it *must* be that Ducati's in total control and just sitting on their thumbs, waiting to turn that knob up at the proper time, and putting governors on the other bikes.

I think he's sending out a message to the other riders.. Points so far have not been important, because he's confident he'll dominate the rest of the season like last year. Seriously, he may have a point. Bridgestone's two worst tracks last year were: you guessed it, Jerez and Estoril.

I'm just looking forward to some good racing, now that the other manu's (and hopefully Michelin) have stepped up their game.

It's too bad he's just riding the oval. It'd be a much better show if they let him rip it up on the roadcourse, show all the spectators how cool it is to turn left *and* right

Is the Honda really that bad? If I remember right, it was Pedrosa who was passing people down the straight at Qatar.

When the pneumatic comes out, it should truly be devastating to the competition. Also, hopefully it doesn't grenade itself as often as Nicky's motors last year..

@yamaha r1:
It's true, they're not on factory machines, but how much different could their bikes be? At worst, they're riding the 2007 bikes, which Stoner won the world championship on!

On the other hand, I agree with you that no factory rider that achieves only poor results will last for long..

Well, for sure it's not *just* the rider. Elias and Guintoli are right there with him at the bottom of the time sheets.

It's looking like ol' Capirex was not doing so bad adapting after all. I wonder how Ducati feel about sacking him now..

@osmam, don't you have some goats that need tending to?

so what if motorcycle racing is not as popular in the US as it is in Spain.. No argument with that here, but why are you telling that to a bunch of motorcycle fans? It's the rest of the people that live in the US that need to be enlightened of the joys of roadracing

Pedrosa vs. Lorenzo reminds me of Biaggi vs. Rossi: guy with more experience but a stinker of a personality versus new guy with lots of charisma.
