MOTOGP » Melandri rides on.
@ Juan H
"It is a pity for Marco as he has never been given a chance on the best bike"
- and how many other riders could you apply that too? The rest of the field (except Rossi, Stoner & Pedrosa) I imagine. Besides, Marco's on one of the best bikes but is unfortunately unsuited to him, as I think 800's may be - a little confusing cause everyone reckons they're more like 250's and considering his background? Oh well...
He's done well in the past, hopefully he'll do well in the future also - but at the moment???

I'm glad to see Mclaren having a good run for a change, amazed there wasn't some kind of ruling made up halfway through the race to favour the Ferrari's? Lets hop you're on the Money there Barry!

So, Saltbush - what are they going to make Randy de Puniet's out of then?

@ Nicole Radha

Quote "even the great Ross Brawn got it wrong for Honda"

WTF? I don't think so. He was the only one to get it right, Handa had a fuelling rig problem which has sweet FA to do with Ross Brawn. But he made the best call to go Extreme Wets - they put Jenson on them too, but he still couldn't stay on the track!

Great to hear, well done to Mark and to Red Bull. I only hope Red Bull keep heading in the direction they are going, and if they can make a big leap with the new regulations next year, that would be even better.

P.S. Gaz - get a life

Agreed Mark_
What amazes me, however, is that someone who can continuously, Lap after lap, clear the Wall Of Champions by inches every time, yet is unable to stop at a Red light in a limited speed zone? WTF? At the end of the day it made for the best Race so far this year, was really pleased for BMW/Kubica's 1st Win - hopefully this is a sign of more to come from this team.

I think Casey has had a bit of a reality check, he really seams to genuinely appriciate where he finished and hopefully he stays this way. I look forward to seeing some good racing throughout the rest of the season. IMO he is a very good rider (along with the whole field, but certainly amongst 6 or so exceptional riders) but it has to be said that there is is only one totally outstanding rider in the current crop....

I''m glad to hear a comment from Ant West about the problems he''s having, as he''s getting a very bad rap on here. I believe he has the ability to run a great deal higher than he has been. I''ve seen this guy race with a 14kph top end deficit and still gain positions lap after lap. He also surprised everyone (who cared to take any notice) with his 3 rides in WSS last year before getting a chance in MotoGP and managed to gain a decent hall of points over the remainder of the season. But I doubt anyone will take notice ''cause so many people on hear are one-eyed and because he''s finished at the back all this season he doesn''t cut it? Go figure.

So far, the only comment here making sense is yours Powerline 2008 - thanks mate! I really do think some of us "Armchair Umpires" over rate our own 'EXPERT' abilities?
Lets hope we have a fantastic race in Monaco - who cares who wins. Personally, I rate about half a dozen drivers in the field, not all of whom have top flight drives, but their abilty still shows. And regardless if you're a fan or not, Lewis Hamilton IS talented. Those who knock him can only dream of being anywhere near as gifted.

Stoner is a genuine threat yes, but deluxe is on the money. If Stoner run's away with it (China), JL Pedro & Rossi won't be too concerned.

P.S Hasn't JL beaten his team mate a couple times already? Take the blinkers off....

... and I'm a Rossi fan by the way, but more importantly a MotoGP fan. I think some people are trying to create imortality for some of these riders? I think we have have (potentially) one of the best seasons, certainly in respect of the level of exceptional talent. Rossi (yes I'm a BIG fan) Stoner, Pedrosa & Lorenzo are all of the highest calibre, and there are a few others not far off the mark. Great racing is what I personally look forward to!

Ducati better hope they have more than just a (slight) speed advantage, cause it certainly hasn't looked like they have the advantage they had last year, although every chance that could prove wrong with the massively long staights of China! From memory - the Suzuki's had reasonably hard top end speed and could prove the uderdog in China?

Not so sure about a big ego? More like very confident, there's a BIG difference - as The Morgue sais, he delivers & there's no real reason for that to tapper off if you look at his consistency thoughout the last couple of years, I think he has the goods to take it to anyone in the feild and I wish him all the luck. PS I'm probably a bit different to most who post on here, as I'm not anti any rider, and am a BIG fan of several riders, inc. Rossi and Stoner! Just hope the level of racing stays as good as it has been so far this year!
