Tokio32, I'd say around half of these forum posts are deliberate wind-ups. Geoff, that's the funniest I've read in a while.

Casey is exceptionally quick but, like everyone else on the track, he falls short of the racecraft of Valentino. I've never seen anyone else like him. Perfect strategy and perfect execution. Incredible.

Oh, I agree that there isn't a great deal between the 250s, even though the quality of the team obviously has an impact of quality of setup etc. My point was that the Aprilia was clearly not a better bike when you consider that all of them, except for Stoner, were propping up the bottom of the table.

Let's not forget that neither Lorenzo nor Dovizioso were able to score any wins that year with Stoner and Pedrosa taking the Lion's share between them.

And I should mention two thumbs up for Vale re-signing. Great news.

"Fact is the guy is a good rider and the last three rounds prove that, but up until last year, he'd won squat and had been battered by Pedrosa in lowers classes, arguably on a better bike."

Arguably a better bike? In the 2005 250s, how come four out of the top five bikes were Honda with Stoner the only exception coming second on an Aprilia (narrowly losing to Pedrosa)?

Ah, I see. Aprilia really was the fastest bike, it was only Stoner that could ride it. Get real.

Raw Dawg, thanks for the heads-up on that article. It makes some very compelling arguments and I can only hope they ditch the TC for next year.

Oscar, the feed I was watching showed it during the race and it was pretty hard to misinterpret. BTW, I'm Australian and a Stoner supporter :-)

Most of the criticism he gets on these forums is ridiculous and unfair, but he does have a few non-racing lessons to learn because he is so young. I think he'll work it out.

Oscar, it's a good lesson for young riders regardless. But the incident I'm referring to was earlier this season (Le Mans, I think) where Casey returned to the pits and had to be convinced by his team that he should get on the spare bike and get out there.

Dominant performance from Stoner and now we've got a Championship fight.

Hats off to Rossi for not giving up. A lesson there for young Casey.

Bad luck there Nicky.

Given the first two practices, the odds were that it would have been a runaway win for Stoner. At least this weather will mix it up a bit. Looking forward to qualifying.

The current link to the FP3 times is broken at the moment.

This link should work (fingers crossed).

Edit: Okay. Now they've fixed it

What astounding lack of insight, Nigel. There are only a couple of wind-up merchants on here bagging Rossi, and thankfully they've mostly shut up since he's started winning again (thank Allah). Most Stoner fans are definding him, not attacking Rossi.

There are many more Rossi fans bagging Stoner which is understandable given that he has a much bigger fan base. To imply that the number of whinging Rossi fans is somehow less that the whinging Stoner fans takes a fairly distorted vision.

I wouldn't be writing Pedrosa off just yet. He managed second fastest lap last outing, and he's thereabouts again.

Great start by Casey. Fingers crossed (already) for a dry race.
