Thats a perfect example of this years champs. Bayliss has a poor weekend with 3rd and a DNF and still increases his lead!! Its not that Bayliss is wiping the floor with them its that no one else is able to mount a consistant challenge. Shakey is doing a similar thing in BSB. This needs to be remembered at the season end when everyone starts bleating about ducati 1200 this 1200 that.
I am personaly against all these unjustified slagging off posts of riders from the opposing riders fans. But so far that I can see is that everyone has supported JL for a good ride, but questioned the extent of his injurys from what they have seen on TV and personal/profesional opinions. I cannot see any reason for you call them/us stupid? Surelly to blindly follow is even more stupid??? Dont forget that most of these story's on crash are PR press releases. PR officers are paid to make there riders/teams look good, of course they would never ever exagerate though......

Thank you Harryx. I know exactly how I sound and also EXACTLY what it feels like with those sort of injury's. Why do you think that an exageration is totaly out of the question?? That is as irational as saying there isnt any exageration... isnt it?? None of us know for sure. But JL is certainly good at the theatrics. The great thing about these forums is that you can have a healthy debate with various other people from different backgrounds and nationalities. But you cannot have a debate if everyone agree's?! Why should people not appose the press release? Because he got hurt? Is the world turned so PC that nobody can say anything about it without being labeled as 'stupid'??
Just thought i'd add a quote from Rossi about Stoner, taken off of the autosport website.
"Careful not to consider him finished. He probably chose the wrong tyre here, but he did a good race nevertheless. For sure the Ducati is strong, but this year Yamaha and Honda have improved massively."
That says it way better than us arm chair critics, and he is far more qualified to say it!!!!!!!!!
Oh and by the way, im not a stoner fan before everyone labels me a 'fanboy', just dont like to see someone get slagged off for the wrong reasons.
Im sorry but I dont believe a lot of this... Call me a cynic if you like but I think there is a little bit of JL's theatrics going on here. Ive had very similar injurys to what has been reported from a very similar crash(exit of bombhole at snetterton)within an hour there was no way i was getting boots on let alone ride a bike!And that tiptoe,push of the bike would have been impossible. I agree with one of the comments though,if he'd had sidi or alpinestars boots on his injury's would have been different. I was wearing a similar suit(dainese T-age&age-in boots) and was told that the protection of the boots was useless against an impact.I now wear Sidi! Good ride tho,injured or not!

The guy came THIRD!(as Rossi did 2 weeks ago) Most of the other riders in that field could only dream of being on the podium regularly.

I dont want to start this off by bashing stoner as I think he did OK. Obviously he's gonna be dissapointed as he's got used to winning over the last year. What i am dissapointed with was his reaction on the BBC interview after the race. He put the blame at the hands of his engineers and tyre person for persuading him to change settings before the race and then said that third this far off wasnt worth bothering with!! On the other hand Dani who ive never had a lot of time for was very possitive.
Am I also the only one who thought the race was overall quite boring?? As with the last 3 races, after the first few laps the first 3 never overtook each other!!
Agree with you there R Sole(nice) I think anything would be better than go to AMA. Its hard enough to watch over here as it is. And next year we've new formats im not even going to bother trying! Just gets my goat that everyone gives him a hard time for not doing better in moto gp. When there are a hell of a lot of others doing worse.....
Gammaman, agree with most of what you say. Apart from the fact that european won daytona this year.....
What has age got to do with the fact of if he can ride fast??? There are plenty of guys that will never see the front row of grid, but colin gets there regulary. If he goes, then over half the field below him should go too! Without people like him, Rossi, hayden and dare i say it, Lorenzo, then moto gp would have no personality at all!!
How many guys keep on watching for the press conference after the race/qualifying? If it was likes of just pedrosa and stoner with there mono tone PR bull then i would turn off everytime!

How about Barros? Remember him?! I personaly dont think Yamaha will let Nori go. He's synonymous with the brand now. We all thought the Yam would be the bike to beet at the start of the year with all the development its had.
