jock-turd... Have you ever thought of using some punctuation in your sentences ? Some full stops and commas wouldn't go a miss. I had to read your last post nine times before it made any sense !!!

He may have secretly been half-happy to be well out of it, and on a personal level may have been genuinely pleased to see his ex-team mate Sykes doing well, but he certainly won't have enjoyed watching Sykes taking it to the WSB regulars on a standard BSB spec Suzuki that Byrne himself has had the thorough beating of for most of this season (Oulton and Knockhill_1 excluded of course). Bet deep down he'd have felt that round his favoured Brands he could have sneaked a couple of podiums and maybe a double win seeing as Bayliss was a bit below par....
Some of the comments are quite frankly pathetic and the sort of childish, juvenile nonsense you'd expect in a primary school playground. I mean, here you have one of the most experienced and knowledgeable team managers there is within motorcycle racing, making time in a busy schedule to be available to answer questions from 'joe public' and people make pathetic remarks like "grow some hair", and "smile more" !!! Are you w4nk3rs for real or what ? What fcuking difference does it make to the bike racing whether or not a team manager has a big mop of hair on his bonce and walks around grinning like a cheshire cat ??? Honestly, some prats on here really are an embarrassment to the majority.

All you mugs that don't agree Byrne should be there . . . ? Why shouldn't he be there then ? Sykes has had his crack at the WSB boys at Brands and did an admirable job. Surely Byrne deserves a crack to prove 2003 wasn't a fluke. Never mind. He'll have the rest of his career to show his ability at WSB level in about 7 or 8 months time when WSB 2009 kicks off !! Ha Ha.
He's just as good as Toseland, if not better on a Superbike. Beat him with room to spare (twice) in the same afternoon in 2003 as a WSB wildcard on similar machinery around Toselands home track. Byrne was 26 then, and Toseland 22, so JT wasn't exactly a newbie to Superbikes or Brands at that point. He ain't gonna get his ar5e kicked anywhere unless he ends up on a duff bike, which I don't think is likely. I think he'd rather stay in BSB on competitive machinery than run at the back of the WSB field next year. Learnt his lesson with MotoGP for sure. Even the least risky option next year for Byrne in WSB looks like being a GSE 1098 with race internals, so he can't really go wrong can he ?
Good point 1098RH, but Bayliss doesn't have it in the bag yet. The next WSB meeting IS DONNY !!, and Bayliss didn't have it bagged after Brands. Shame 'cos Shakey v Bayliss would have been the icing on the cake, with Haslam, 'Low-crutch' and Sykes in hot pursuit. Very disappointing.
Bit of both 'truefan' if we're all honest about it. GSE want to keep Byrne's true abilities on a factory spec Ducati under wraps so that if they go to WSB, they take him with them, or if they stay in BSB, he's not been showcased on the world scene for all to see. Additionally, Tardozzi and Ducati Corse have probably had a hand in it somewhere to prevent Byrne showing Bayliss up (or even just giving him a run for his money at Brands). If another wildcarder does it on a 4-cyl they can blag it away with all manner of excuses, but an inferior 1098 Ducati in the hands of Byrne would be too much of an embarrassment. Still don't see why he couldn't have a go on a third Xerox Duke, but there you go.
Byrne's the man who should be there, if anybody should. But of course Tardozzi and Ducati don't want him showing Bayliss up now do they. But they'll have him next year (potentially) once Bayliss hangs up the boots !! Hypocrites. I'd stay with GSE next year if I were him and let Tardozzi go **** himself.
If there is a 20hp difference, then Byrne knows how to get the most out of the GSE Ducati as Bayliss was less than 4/10ths quicker this year in Superpole on a factory Xerox at Brands than Shakey was in April for BSB Brands on the GSE bike. Imagine what he could have done with race spec internals or even if he'd got a wildcard ride on a third Xerox Ducati. THAT's why he wasn't there. Tardozzi didn't want Bayliss being shown up by another Ducati outfit. Stupid thing is... surely it would have been better for Byrne to take the points than an existing WSB rider !!! In the end, without Byrne there, Kiyonari ended up taking the points, but Xerox didn't know that in advance did they !!
saran dorairaj - You may not actually BE English with a name like that, but if you're gonna post comments on an English website about an English rider and an ex two-time World Superbike Champion at that, at least make the effort to type proper f**ing English, check grammar and spelling etc, you ignoramus !! Once you've mastered that, then read what you've written before submitting 'cos frankly what you've said so far is complete b*****s !!
You obviously don't watch much bike racing then do you gv. It's nothing to do with whether we THINK he should still get the win, it's what the rules are. Nobody has yet explained properly why WSS last week at Brands awarded poor Craig Jones a second place after his crash, yet Shakey gets nothing today ?
Exactly Sam. I thought the results classification was taken from the previous full lap, in which case Shakey was in the lead. As you say, poor Craig Jones was credited with second place last week at Brands, so what's so different here ?
