If you look at a replay just after the corner you will see how far hamilton went off the track. This was not just a miscalculation. Hamilton floored it trying to catch kimi and emotion got the best of him. I am not sure I have ever seen so much braking and still not make a corner. To me this problem is because the stewards were not hard enough on him to begin with. The media had a cash cow. He has a history of playing bumper car chicken. It was just a race or 2 ago he took the inside of kimi and actually bumped tires with kimi to push him off the raod. Nothing was done. Massa should not have been penalized because hamilton was just as guilty by cutting masa off.

I replayed the first few laps frame by frame several times. Hamilton pushed kovalianen wide than came back at kimi at a angle that would hit kimi. The only reason he didn't was because he locked up his tires(inches). Kimi had to move left to keep from being hit. Kovalianen followed hamilton to the inside and pused kimi and others to the grass. The camera angle then switches and you see both mcclarian had not braked well and overshot the corner. Both were completely on the grass. It is a wonder they did not take out a whole slew of cars. Here is the real problem with hamilton in a nutshell. He is a self centered ass that plays chicken with other drivers. This is not bumper cars fellas.
