Does this mean we might have narrowed it down to being a Spanish champion this year then?

Great ride by Lorenzo. Will the flood gates open now that he has his first win as it often does? I think it will be a spanish fight for the title come the end of year.

Solid run by JT again, things seem to be going well, hope it continues that way.

Shame Niki dropped the bike, does anyone know what happened? Appears the cameras missed it.

Right off to watch the 125's

Great first lap but got abit boring after a while, nice to see Edwards doing well, got one over on Toseland but hat's off to Lorenzo, looks like he really is the real deal!

Things can only get better, looks like Moto GP will overshadow F1 again this year.

Those opening laps were great and those Yamaha's sure have some speed down the straight (only 1kph slower than the Ducati).
Thought Rossi might have won it but JL just rode harder for longer.

Stoner did better than I expected, should of did that rain dance for longer-thought my prayers were being answered at the start!

Still anyones title.

I think people are getting a little carried away here! Bridgestone have never had a win at this track, and where was stoner!? All we have had so far is a bogus night race and two michelin dominant tracks where rossi (bridgestone) has taken two podiums!
Yes Lorenzo is doing well but the turnaround of stoner has proved its now an era of the bikes and tyres not the rider like in the past. The sooner they bin this electronic aid crap the sooner the boys with talent and balls can start leaving the girls behind

Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Rossi, Edwards,Hopkins, and Stoner all great rides.
Rossi first bridgestone:-), Stoner, didn't look to be much wrong in the second half of race(maybe nerves).
Still too soon to pass judgement on anybody yet. This is a michelin track. The only reason Stoner was up there last year was because he was miles faster on the long straight(still is and will be in china).
The michis were also excellent in China but for Rossi the straight was just too long. When we hit the States the entire michelin brigade fell apart for the rest of the season...There are plenty of surprises, Dovi, JT and of course Lorenzo, but the tyre war is far from over..

"1 lap more and dani [pedrosa was the winner!"... not so sure you fully understand what you are watching!

yeah, great race. the hatred between lorenzo and pedrosa makes good racing from those 2! first time i've seen dani actually outbrake someone properly hes normally already alongside and just completing the move but he was bang on it then! I think stoner has done himself some favours today, he did ride well to collect valuable points, a trait nicky hayden used in 2006 to become champion!

Rossi clearly had issue with his tyres, looks like he chose to run too soft! i think it was ok while he was controlling the pace but once he wasn't dictating the pace he overworked them very quickly

Stoner 6th, but effectively 9th in real terms of performance of the bike.
[Dovi, Hayden, De Puniet - all had him]. He was lucky to get 6th today, but he's in touch with Rossi and will have no problem overtaking the Yamaha's on the straight in China.

Rossi cooked his front tyre trying to keep the others behind - it worked for 18 laps.
Ohh dear.

As everyone else has said, unless Stoner & Rossi's tyres can turn it around on other tracks this year, it's the two Spanish boys fighting for the championship.

Congrat to Lorenzo. 26 seconds from the race winner and behind the Kawasaki is not good for the 1st Ducati and Stoner. Rossi gamble with soft, at least finished similar to Stoner last year. It could be worse for Rossi if he use different compound. Yet, Rossi still lose big time when Lorenzo nailed his 1st win.

I doubt Ducati will do the same like last year at China on the next round. With Rossi on B'stone, Pedrosa and Lorenzo again is on the same height and strength as Rossi and Stoner for race win chances. Hopper might comes in between them to pour salt on the wound...

So if your gonna rossi bash and say he shud retire...

shudnt we say the same about stoner?

2 races and no podium?

im not bashing stoner, he had another bad day at a track that wasnt a bridgestone track, we all knew that from the times.

Rossi done well, ok hayden fell off but thats not his problem is it?

Great ride from lorenzo, so glad he beat pedrosa, i know if i had to pick who i wanted to be champion out of these 2 who it'd be.

I think rossi will be happy to see that the yamaha is so much better this year, also to see stoner struggling, he has a good bike underneath him, its his 3rd race on bridgestone's and he's come 5th, 2nd and 3rd...That really isnt that bad!

This is the second thread some chauvanist has posted 'One more lap and Dani-the-Dwarf was the winner'.

How so - Do these people imagine he was falling back at that point to lull Lorenzo into a false sense of security?

Seems like Stoner needed some more dry track time, as his pace on the second half of the race was quite good, just as good as the front minus the Spanish guys! It was not the best situation for him having a damped warm up, even though he was fastest then.
I must say Stoner rode well after the first rounds, and kept his head quite cool even though some parts was falling off/hanging of the handlebar... was kind of funny to see him "fixing" the problem in the middle of a turn, and trying to "put the parts back into the bike".
Lorenzo ride very well, and now Rossi is for the first time experience a team mate with more wins on the same season! Good show.

Lorenzo was unbeatable. He's got the best developed bike on the plateau and the best tyres, but he really is amazingly consistent.

B'stone really needs to get their job done. Last year they were lucky having the Anti-Michelin ruling advantage and the Ducati power.

Dovizioso was also class, But his lawnmower was not competitive. All the lawnmowers were down on top speed compared to the Factory Honda's. If the "pneumatic" kicks in the satelite teams can go home...

Clearly Stoner was going fast in mixed conditions only because his TC was working overtime. I've seen a lap during the warm-up and it was misfiring everywhere. I guess that TC also improves wear so he was stronger in the end

I was wondering what the other guys were doing miles behind him the other day when the track was wet, and this morning while the track was damp. I guess the 17 other riders forgot to switch the TC "on".

It really is the changing of the old guard.
Last year, the Ducati's had the performance advantage, abeit only Stoner could extract the maximum.
This year, the performance advantage has gone, but the Ducati is still aweful to ride - hence all the other Ducati's are at the back of the field.
It really is between Lorenzo & Pedrosa this season. Rossi is a passenger at best - what was it, 13 seconds behnd Pedrosa?
