Ecclestone denies claims he wants Mosley out.

Bernie denies claims he wants Max out.

Bernie Ecclestone has rubbished claims he is pushing to try and get long-time ally and business partner Max Mosley removed from his post in the wake of the highly-damaging sex scandal that has been swirling around the FIA President over the past month.

It's true then, I suspect William's wouldn't sign because the price of having Todt replace Mosley was too much to stomach!
It was said some where Mosley was "very, very clever" just seems thick as two short planks to me.

@ JR you are assuming that Todt is the only one who could replace Max. If that was the case don't you think Mclaren would have more to lose than Williams? Why would only Williams find this to be a problem? And if Max is leaving at the end of the year anyway what difference is it going to make if his replacement starts a few months early?

ofcourse bernie doesnt want him out... to me it looks as if bernie himself has put this one in the news deliberately... just so he can say: look I didnt say anything...

you know what? get ridd of them all together, your bernies, your todts, your mosleys, get ridd of F1 and split the money they would save amongst those of the population who every blinking months struggle to pay their bills and to put their kids to school... 300.000.000 dollars a year so that some people get rich of others who are watching... - everyday I am more sick of it

Bernie's views are normally driven by money. But in this case it seems more complex.

Revenue into F1 may well be damaged by Max's presence, so the default BE action would be to remove Max. But, but.... Max did sign that nice 100 year TV contract with Bernie, and Max probably knows about plenty of skeletons...and then there's the reputed $300m thank you payment BE made to Max...

Who cares,if you have such a poor opinion of Formula One as a sport/business I find it odd that you would be spending your time on a forum which devotes 99% of its coverage to the sport you so obviously have a problem with!!!!

Mark, no I didn't assume that, what I tried to say was McLaren et al might be prepared to accept Todt just to get rid of Mosley now. Ferrari Toro Rosso's refusal has a more complex reasoning.

I think we're all aware who Mosley/Ferrari's appointed successor in waiting is and William's, rightly in my view are not prepared to accept Todt as a precondition or replacement. The FIA President has to be impartial (who considers Todt neutral) and this is a ploy by MM and BE who know the end game is ready to be played out and want to assure the succession if they can. Who wants someone with Todt's baggage when there are better candidates out there.

It now sounds like MM is on the warpath, trying to find out who spied on him.First who is paying for this investigation, and second if all his energy is into the investigation, how is he doing the FIA business.
I have to agree with the AAA about the value of being in the FIA if it is not a world body but a personal organization controlled by 2 men and one F1 team. Mosley knows he can win a vote with threats and lies, and so maybe it's time for the clubs of the world to start a new democratic organization.
