Bridgestone reacts to Turkish problems.

Hamilton blow-out prompts construction rethink for 2008.

I've always wondered how Bridgestone can manage to stay impartial on tyre choice ...It's clear to everyone that Ferrari are very easy on tyres but find it difficult to get them to work on one lap pace (in comparison to race pace) while McLaren are the opposite - harder on their tyres.

Surely, Bridgestone deciding to bring soft & medium tyres to a GP rather than medium & hard (and vice-versa) could have quite a bearing on the result?

Good point. I think they are staying impartial all right even though they have this long standing relationship with Ferrari.

 1 people agree.

Merc's in real life are generally heavy and hard on tyres. I think McLaren have to look at their rim supplier more so than Bridgestone scratching their head trying to work out why. Especially after Heikki's accident at Spain last race. The other teams seem to work well with the tyres and no problems with marrying them to their rims.
As the others have posted it is good for the tyre manufacturer to stay impartial and for Bridgestone to go the extra mile for McLarens woes. It might be time to standardise the rim also.
