Fresh doubt over Aguri future.

Fresh doubt over Aguri future.

Despite the announcement that talks are underway with the Weigl Group to secure the teams future, the trucks and motorhome of the Super Aguri team have been barred from entering the Istanbul circuit having arrived to prepare for the Turkish Grand Prix.

Forget the old doubts, the new ones are here!

Sorry to say this but it definitely looks like it's goodbye for them, but I still find it amazing how popular they've become in such short time and you have to admire Aguri-san's fighting spirit. I think they showed real promise last season and I do admire them for achieving that with such limited resources. I do hope that Sato will manage to get a decent seat next year, I will certainly miss him. He's a very passionate driver and I think he's matured a lot since his crashing days @ Jordan. I'll always remember his spirited drive in last year's Canadian GP!

Wow......just yesterday I read that the Aguri cars were still in England. Noe they are in Turkey.

If the cars could move that fast on the track their troubles would be over

I dont see how Honda could bar someone from entering the paddocs, couldnt Ferrari just bar mclaren from entering if teams were allowed to do this? Also, I guess its embarrasing for Honda to get beaten by the team who runs their customer engine, and are almost broke.

This saga is like a stuck CD! Yes then no then yes then no you get what I mean. Honda want their money and now the baseball bat and stand over tactic's. Fry's bullish tactic's are a bit over the top considering they have a glimmer of hope with the Weigl Group and as WIMS mentioned how does Honda have the power to do this. The field is getting smaller and soon all we'll have is the boring factory teams with about ten cars on the grid. The FIA has to step in and sort out these issues regarding the Concorde agreement and the costs of racing in F1. As it is at the moment no one want's to commit serious money other than the factory teams and 'Red Bull'. Thank god for them!

After succesfully turning the Honda team into a heap of rubbish, Mr. Fry now obviously tries to pocket some cash from Magma. By badmouthing the Weigl Group, it seems as if he wants to open the now even cheaper backdoor for his Brit buddies. Disgusting. Ross Brawn is there for the rescue, who needs Fry anyway? If Honda has a fibre oof brain left, the should fire Fry. Skyhigh!

Fry is really a snake, I have been thinking of his behavior recently of how he spoke and they way he 'treated' Super Aguri. It seems like he spoke in the name of Honda, but actually he spoke in the of his a$$. He only thinks of himself. Poor Aguri. Go Aguriiiiiiii

As ever, people are happy to comment on and badmouth people on this forum without any proof that the storyline is actually true! I prefer to wait until all the evidence is out and the events have unfolded before responding.I suppose that is not the modern way however where it seems alright to slag someone off and then disappear when the story is found to be inaccurate!

True, Dave. But it's interesting how this project, which I assume was originally meant to raise the popularity of Honda, has turned into a huge PR disaster, a David vs. Goliath thing where Aguri is the brave little guy & Honda tries to stop him. Or is it really Honda? As many of you have pointed out, all the headlines beginning with "Honda:" have been Fry slagging SAF1 off, without a word from anyone representing the manufacturer. Are his opinions in this matter really Honda's opinions? He's beginning to look more & more like a loose cannon and really, every single word that has led to this percieved situation of Honda trying to bully their own protegé out of F1 has come out of Fry's mouth.

For what it is worth,I think Honda having already had their fingers burned by the Japanese press when they got rid of Sato two seasons ago are now possibly using Nick Fry to break the bad news rather than having to do it themselves.Remember losing face is a major no no in Japanese culture and mindset!

Aguri will announced some of statement at Tokyo tomorrow. But in Japan, today and tomorrow(May 5-6) is holyday.
So I think Honda would not any decision.
But if the worst comes to the worst,Aguri will withdraw from race.

I hope Super Aguri will race at Turkey...And Nick Fry NEVER disturb!

Quite funny that 'Honda may wish to avoid the embarrassment of seeing the team trucks pulled out of the paddock' - is this the same Honda that a) had their cars impounded (under David Richards' and Fry's rule) at Monaco for non-payment of commissions due to a sponsorship agent? and b) were sent home (and made to sit there) when they were found to have knowingly cheated with their hidden fuel cells??

Surely it's time to fall on your sword Mr. Fry?

The finger for this situation can be pointed at Williams.
They were the team that prevented the customer car rule going through when it was almost a foregone conclusion. Since that decision Prodrive decided not to take up their 12th team option, potential team buyers & investors have walked away, & teams that are using customer cars are now unwanted by their 'real' owners - like Honda offloading Super Aguri & Red Bull looking to do the same with Torro Rosso.

I support Williams as a privateer team, but they have damaged F1 now & in the future by blocking a rule that made lots of sense.

How long until there are races with three Ferraris or three Mclarens?

This is what thr FIA call progress though. They've given the championship to the manufacturers, and as soon as the bubble bursts the manufacturers will drop out and we will be left with no F1

One thing I certainly don't want to see is three car teams. Just the thought of three Ferraris way out in front, followed by three McLarens bores me to death. Two each is bad enough to watch. I'd rather see single car teams than three car teams.
