Did Hopkins really think that moving from one uncompetetive machine to another uncompetative machine would somehow change his Moto GP fortunes? Erm the term "overated" springs to mind. Pedrosa, Lorenzo, Dovi, Toseland, Moaner and now Malandri and of course the evergreen Rossi, all good reasons to be looking at another championship for glory John.

Everybody(!) was using the B'Stone "medium" only Kawasaki used the "soft" compound. As is the "the word". Obviously there are shades of medium and soft, but that was basically their problem.

It was also a difficult situation for the engineers. Iwouldnt take this result for granted. Even the kwak is better than that...

I think that Kawasaki got Hopper for his never give up attitude. He finished in the top seven 15 times on the Suzuki last season.

Hopper lost his father...now has a gap in 'given by parent' motivation and mentality.
for me Nakano is rather near finish his ability but they both could be strong on ZX-RR giving each other advices. West can't do it.

oh come on guys give the chap some chance to prove him. its just one race he has done wrong by chosing the tyres unsuitable to the track. lets see wht he can pull in le mans coz he must be on fire after such a disappointed chinese grand prix. West certainly needs to do something if he wants to save his a**. i think west should be given a chance or maybe 2 in world super sport through gil kawasaki n see if he is capable to repeating his last season victories in 600 class.

Really can't see him lasting the season.
Hopper hasn't had the best results, but he does have determination, I'll give him that. Expect to see him consistently running just inside the top 10 by the end of the season. That is all he or the bike is capable of.
As for Westy, time to pack his bags, if Kawasaki isn't already helping him pack. How can you be constantly so far off the pace and still have a ride in this championship?
Geez, he could be riding that bike in the 250 class and still get spanked!!

I think hopper will be be the top American by the end of the year as he was last year ! Did we forget that he was 4 th in the championship last year and has always beat his teammate whether it be cv or kr jr in points ? He has constant top 5 finishes in him once he has some more time to test and develop the machine since he couldn't at the beginning of the year ! Come on boy !!!

Zedman: give hopper some credit, He got the Suzuki to a podium finisher (in two riders hands), I am sure he will do the same with the Kwacka
