Massa eyes Turkish hat-trick.

Ferraris Felipe Massa has set his sights on getting onto the top step of the podium this weekend in Turkey and the signs are promising that he might just manage it.

He may do it, if he has one of his stellar weekends, but I think he won't be able to compete with Kimi in the long run. If Ferrari keep up their form, Kimi is world champion.

Agree with steve, If Raikkonen and Ferrari can keep up what they're doing and win the next 5 races then the title is almost as good as Raikkonen's!

As goes for massa, I think he knows it will be tough for him to repeat what he did in the past 2 years in Istanbul, Raikkonen's definitely favourites coming into this race.

Ferrari will never let Massa take the win unless Kimi is unable to. These guys work for a company that puts the best interests of the company first. either way a 1/2 Ferrari is what i'm hoping for.

We want racing George. How about a BMW on the podium along with McL. If Ferrari stays the co**** we will all be watching other racing series. Lets hope for a small issue for the RED team and they have to start apart. Add in Alonso and we have some racing we want to watch. I am personally hoping for a podium without a Ferrari. I know that is seriously wishful thinking but I would like the year to play out similar to last year.

robert, the thread is about MASSA yet you turn it into an anti-ferrari rant. if ferrari win, it is because they deserve to, having what is probably the best car and the best drivers at this point in time. mclaren might get on podium if ferrari or bmw have a problem. we shall see!

I do agree w/ you robert but the dominant car will usually win. but if someone other than McL and Ferrari wins it will surely shake things up. well cheers mate! to your outcome

Rich ard.. you missed my point. I am not anti Ferrari as I cheer for Kimi. I just want there to be possibilities for good racing. A little problem for any top team allows others to gets positions on the grid they would not normally enjoy. Kinda like the guys who want rain.. Maybe I should have just said that. Kimi coming from the 5 hole would provide me incentive to get up at 5 in the morning. heh heh Once again I am not bashing Ferrari they just happen to be number one at the moment.

Istanbul is going go be VERY interesting. Massa may have won the last two years, but this year, the safety net's gone - no more TC.
And with that phenomenal Turn 8, I'm very interested in seeing how he's going to handle a quadruple apex corner without any electronic angels to guide him.

Sidenote: I'm not a fan of the Tilke circuits - they're too antiseptic, they have no character. But after the snoozefest of Catalunya, I hope there's some overtaking this time around.
