Stoner wins Dutch TT, Rossi falls.

The second half of the 2008 MotoGP World Championship will start with Dani Pedrosa back on top of the standings, ahead of Valentino Rossi, and reigning title holder Casey Stoner just 29 points from the lead.

Casey way to good for everyone else.

what a talent.

Marco should hand in his resignation from Ducati, and go to Yamaha or Honda which are obviously easier bikes to ride fast, and don't require huge balls to ride

Stoner's new software is working well. Rossi's obviously's not (lost the rear). If it looked easy for stoner, it was. Ride it hard like a 125GP bike and no problems. In fact, Stoner said himself it was easy. Yamaha and Honda need to catch up.

Edwards payback for the 06 race. Funny irony. But that luck gave him the championship....so a payback came back to bite...

Great ride from Casey, another win for the good guys, The presure is already getting to the Doctor. The next few tracks will be interesting, cant wait to see how The Doctor handles it.

Ducati are obviously giving Stoner better equipment and software than his rivals to deliberately make them look bad, there is no way his skill has anything to do with him destroying them week in - week out.

The reason Ducati are doing this is obvious: because they want to market their bikes as almost impossible to ride unless you are willing to be a passanger on a completely electronically controlled bike and not interfere with the ECUs command of the machine.

Well that's what a bitter, childish, pig-headed, brainwashed, fantasist of a Rossi fan told me...

Better call a waaaaaahhhhhmbulance for all the bitter Rossi fans in denial

Boring race again but superb riding from the world number 1 and Rossi's efforts to score points on a broken machine was very commendable - he did a great job considering. Maybe its Pedrosas year as he just keeps slipping under the radar and piling on the points!

Every time Rossi loses he starts talking about the need to improve the bike. It is getting annoying, Yamaha is already the best bike, maybe only Honda has equal machinery.
I'm starting to like Pedrosa, after Donington he said: We lost because I started making mistakes. It is man talking.

If De Angelis and West hadn't crashed and Rossi not taken out De Puniet and the field wasn't already depleted Rossi would have gotten no points, so his luck is still in. Good ride all the same with a broken gear lever. I'm enjoying the Stoner celebration wheelies!

from Donington to Assen the Ducati is now the best bike on the grid in terms of engine & power delivery, off corner acceleration is untouchable, the computer geeks needed only to "tame" the engine but just enough not to give away that power advantage. if the Yamaha & the Honda has that same drive off the corners like the Ducati has i think we'd be seeing a dogfight between CS, DP & VR.

ROSSI'S TYRE WAS A BIT COLD...HE SHOULD HAVE WAITED A LAP OR MORE ..BEFORE ATTACKING... BUT MAY BE HE WANTED TO FIGHT WITH CASEY AT THE FRONT.

THATS WHAT CHAMPIONS ARE ALL ABOUT. NO MATTER WHAT ..THEY WILL NEVER SETTLE FOR ANYTHING LESS THAN NUMBER 1. AND THESE KIND OF THINGS HAPPEN ..WHEN U PU****.. ROSSI DEFENTLY WANTED TO FIGHT WITH CASEY AND DIDNT WANT HIM TO ESCAPE ..MAY BE THATS MADE HIM OPEN HIS THROTTLE A FRACTION OF A SEC. EARLIER.....

GO VALLL!!! MOREOVER IT PROVES 1 POINT . HOW MUCH LESS TRACTION CONTROL ROSSI IS RIDING ON. HIS REAR WHEEL SPUN AT SUCH A LOW SPEED CORNER.... THAT NEVER WOULD HAPPEN ON A DUCATI OR A HONDA. GO VALLI U R THE BEST THE WORLD HAS SEEN!!!!

Sure, last year it was Bridgestone winning races for Stoner, now it's TC.

Get real! Other three Ducati riders are very good, where are they?

And don't buy this crap about unequal machinery/electronics in Ducati. A Ducati engineer stated clearly they are all equal.

ROCK
You do not remember what was the average margin of Doohan winning? 20 s clear of field was quite regular, sometimes Criville hanging between him and the rest of the field.

Ok I will admit that Casey is a superb racer and that I have been in denial for too long.It was just so hard to understand that anyone could beat Valentino like that without special tyres or anything.
I have truly awakened and for that I am grateful.
Please help me awaken the other bitter ones before its too late.
Well done Casey Stoner you are the new GOD of MotoGP.

He was Marco Melandri, but MM now means Minute Man - as in one minute behind the other Marlboro Ducati. If Casey Stoner has done anything since he joined Ducati, it's to show up the Euro riders for what they really are. Melandri could win on the best bike (990 V5 Honda), but show him a difficult to ride, bucking mule that's almost like a bad old '88 Honda NSR500 - and WHERE is he? Hand me my binoculars. Ah, there he is: running home to Mama. Just like Fogarty who could win on the best bike, but couldn't get close on that pile Honda called an RC45.
